MIG Welding

Stick Welding

Traditionally the most popular welding method for home DIY, stick welding uses an electric current uses an electric current flowing from a gap between the metal and the welding stick. Stick welding works well on thicker materials and is ideal for welding most alloys or joints. While stick welding is the most economical choice, it is not suitable for thin materials, is more difficult to learn than MIG and can be messy.

TIG Welding

TIG welding provides the highest quality and most precise results, and is most commonly used to weld thin sections of alloy steel, stainless steel and nonferrous metals such as aluminum, magnesium and copper alloys. TIG welding allows for greater control over the weld than other welding processes, resulting in strong, high-quality welds. TIG welding is comparatively more complex and difficult to master than other processes and is significantly slower.
