Features
 • IMC is a pale yellow, water-soluble, food grade acid with detergent designed to remove scale and deposits from the troughs and associated components of ice making machines
 • It may also be used to clean the storage tanks and troughs in chillers and boiling tanks such as those used on coffee machines
 • It should not be used on galvanised or nickel-plated surfaces

Applications
 • IMC is normally used diluted 1:5 with water
 • Switch off the refrigeration circuit of the ice-making machine and empty the trough
 • Pour 250-500mL of diluted IMC into the trough of the ice-making machine
 • Use a plastic spatula or brush to spread the IMC into the untreated areas
 • Operate the system pump for up to 30 minutes
 • Drain the residue to waste and irrigate the system with fresh water till all traces of colour and foam are removed
 • Normally one treatment is all that is required
 • However, in the event that scale and deposits are still evident after treatment, the process maybe repeated. As IMC is corrosive to zinc, nickel, brass and iron and destructive to clothing, spills and drips should be washed from these materials with water as soon as possible
 • It does not attack stainless steel, plastic or rubber
 • IMC contains acids that can cause irritation and injury to the skin, eyes and to the internal organs if swallowed
 • An acid-proof apron, rubber gloves and an eye shield is recommended safety equipment
 • In the event that misting occurs in confined space, a suitable cartridge respirator should be worn
 • Designed to remove scale and deposits from the troughs and associated components of ice making machines
